Jennifer Johnston was hired yesterday to replace Kim Clark as the No. 2 assistant on the University of Toledo women's basketball coaching staff.
Johnston recently completed her third season as a men's assistant at Oakland University.
Clark resigned her position earlier this month.
“Jennifer has had a unique experience being a men's assistant coach for a very good Oakland program,” UT coach Mark Ehlen said. “She has been under a great college coach in Greg Kampe. At the same time, she has been a winner, whether it be in high school or college.”
Johnston, a native of Beaverton, Mich., was a four-year letterwinner at Northern Michigan from 1994-98. She was a two-time captain and made the NCAA all-regional team in 1997.
