UT beats Buffalo in women's soccer semifinal

The University of Toledo women's soccer team defeated Buffalo 3-1 in a Mid-American Conference tournament semifinal at Scott Park on Friday.

The top-seeded Rockets advance to the MAC championship game at 1 p.m. Sunday and will face either Western Michigan or Central Michigan.

Sophomore forward Rachel MacLeod scored the go-ahead goal for UT less than three minutes into the second half, and sophomore forward Nicole Gyurgyik closed out the scoring at the 58:08 mark.

Buffalo grabbed an early 1-0 lead on Katie Roberts' marker at the 15:46 mark, but the Rockets responded less than 10 minutes later with senior forward Kristen Lynn's goal, with senior midfielder Ana Reynolds getting credit for the assist.
