Tiffin couple killed in car-truck collision
BLOOMVILLE, Ohio — A Tiffin couple were killed yesterday when their car went through a stop sign on Seneca County Road 6 at State Route 19 and was struck by a truck, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Bonita Greathouse, 57, and her husband, Tom, 60, were pronounced dead at the scene, troopers at the patrol’s Fremont post said.
The car driven by Mrs. Greathouse was eastbound on County Road 6 about 12:05 p.m. when it was struck by a truck southbound on Route 19 driven by James Kirksey, 53, of Martins Ferry, Ohio. The Greathouse car caught on fire before it stopped south of the intersection, troopers said.
Mr. Kirksey was not hurt.
