Terry scores 17 but Rockets lose

PEORIA, Ill. - Toledo failed in its attempt to win back-to-back games for the first time this season, losing to Bradley 68-47 yesterday afternoon.

Senior Olivia Terry led the Rockets with a season-high 17 points, including 15 in the first half.

She was 5-of-7 from 3-point range.

Terry came into the game with a total of 15 points in the first six games of the season.

Sophomore Allie Clifton was the only other Rocket in double figures with 14 points.

With the loss, Toledo fell to 3-4 on the season.

Bradley, which led the entire contest, scored the first six points.

Toledo only scored seven points over the game's final 11 minutes.

UT finished the contest shooting 34.5 percent (20-of-58) from the field, including 31 percent (9-of-29) in the second half. The Rockets were also hindered by 20 turnovers and were dominated on the boards 52-26.

Monica Rogers paced three Braves in double figures with 15 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Jenny Van Kirk and Skye Johnson finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
