Delta, Ohio, market wall collapses

DELTA, Ohio — The west wall of the Delta Antique Market collapsed late Thursday afternoon, Fulton County sheriff's deputies said.
Nobody was inside store, which was closed at the time. There are no reports of injuries.
The second floor and other areas of an anitque mall on Main St. in Delta, Ohio show the extent of the damage.

The sheriff's department received a 911 call at 5:40 p.m. reporting that the wall of the two-story mall at 301 East Main St. collapsed.
Tiffany Leininger, owner of Jan's Bridal Shop across the street from the antiques store, said she 'didn't hear a thing.'
'The west wall of the antiques store is pretty much gone,' she said. 'Brick is laying all in Monroe Street.'

The store, located on the corner of Main and Monroe, was built in 1900, according to Fulton County Auditor records.Delta police and fire and sheriff's office personnel were on the scene.
The antique market typically is stocked with a huge variety of items, ranging from church pews to mirrored beer signs and kitchen tables to tools.
Displays in its large windows facing Main, which is the heavily traveled U.S. 20A/State Rt. 2 through the village, were its main advertising.
Delta is about 30 miles west of Toledo.
