Area Unitarians join protests against torture

The Maumee Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation has voted to endorse a statement of conscience by the National Religious Campaign Against Torture condemning U.S. torture or cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment of anyone.

The congregation has posted a banner on its grounds, 20189 North Dixie Highway, Bowling Green, proclaiming: “Torture Is a Moral Issue.” The banner was purchased through the MVUUC’s Social Action Committee. More information is available online at www.mvuuc.org.
