Toledo Police auction yields $83,075
Toledo police sold 97 abandoned and forfeited vehicles at an auction Saturday, along with 10 seized amplifier and speaker sets, raising $83,075 all together.
The auction at the police impound lot, 198 Dura Ave., attracted 177 registered bidders, police said.
Eleven forfeited vehicles sold for $11,400, with the highest bid being $2,600 for a 1999 GMC Yukon. There were 86 abandoned vehicles sold at the auction for $70,425, with the highest being a 2006 Harley-Davidson Dyna Glide for $5,100. Two cars, a 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis and a 1977 Lincoln Town Car, were the lowest-selling vehicles at $150 each.
