Driver, 41, critically injured in single-car crash

FINDLAY - A 41-year-old Forest, Ohio, man was critically injured early yesterday when his station wagon went off the road and struck a tree about 18 miles southeast of here, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Anthony Messenger was driving eastbound on Township Road 64, near County Road 175, in Jackson Township when he lost control of the vehicle about 4:30 a.m., troopers said.

Mr. Messenger was taken by Life Flight helicopter to St. Rita's Mercy Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, where he was listed in critical condition.
