First Sunday Open Art Days & Arts in the Garden will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Toledo Botanical Garden. Studios in the Artists' Village will be open and visitors can try their hand at painting, pottery, drawing, stained glass, photography, and more. Art easels for children will be located throughout the garden. Live entertainment will be provided and snacks and beverages can be purchased. The garden is at 5403 Elmer Drive.

Kampfer opens A List of the People I Love, an exhibit of his paintings, stone and wood sculpture, photographs, and drawings, at a 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., Aug. 7 reception with a DJ and live entertainment in Bozarts Fine Art and Music Gallery. Painter Phil Fisher, batik artist Natalie Guess, and ceramicist Gail Russell will open a show of their work with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception Saturday in the American Gallery, 6600 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania. The show continues through Sept. 14.
