Artists' Village opens doors at Toledo Botanical Garden

First Sunday Open Art Days & Arts in the Garden will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Toledo Botanical Garden. Studios in the Artists' Village will be open and visitors can try their hand at painting, pottery, drawing, stained glass, photography, and more. Art easels for children will be located throughout the garden. Live entertainment will be provided and snacks and beverages can be purchased. The garden is at 5403 Elmer Drive.

Douglas D. Kampfer opens A List of the People I Love, an exhibit of his paintings, stone and wood sculpture, photographs, and drawings, at a 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., Aug. 7 reception with a DJ and live entertainment in Bozarts Fine Art and Music Gallery. The show continues until Aug. 26. The gallery is at 151 South St. Clair St. No. 104, across from the Toledo Farmers' Market. Information: 419-464-5785 and bozartstoledo@gmail.com

Painter Phil Fisher, batik artist Natalie Guess, and ceramicist Gail Russell will open a show of their work with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception Saturday in the American Gallery, 6600 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania. The show continues through Sept. 14.

Tim Tyree's abstract art is displayed at Georgette's Grounds & Gifts, 311 Conant St., Maumee, through the end of August.

Call for artists: Applications for booth rental ($100) will be accepted until Aug. 15 for Rally for the Arts at Harrison Rally Day, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19, in Perrysburg. Applications are at perrysburgarts.org and from the Perrysburg Area Arts Council at 419-873-2787.

The Art Gallery at the Croswell Opera House displays works by Muriel Bell, Carol Jodis, Martha Poppink-Melcher, and P.C. Bacon through Aug. 14. The theater is at 129 East Maumee St. in Adrian, Mich.
