John Legend, India.Arie to perform at Toledo Zoo

Neo-soul singer and pianist John Legend and special guest India.Arie will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Toledo Zoo amphitheatre, 2700 Broadway. Legend, a three-time Grammy winner, has released three Top Ten albums since 2004. Arie is best described as an acoustic soul songstress. Tickets are $40.50, $59.50 and $70.50 from the zoo's visitor services lobby and ticketmaster.com.

Alice Cooper's new show, The Nightmare Continues, will be staged at 8 p.m. Sunday at Centennial Terrace in Sylvania. VIP seats are limited, and are priced at $55; general admission tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets are available from the Stranahan box office, 419-381-8851, and Ticketmaster, 419-474-1333.

Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant, 6140 Levis Commons Blvd. in Perrysburg, welcomes comic, writer, and director Bob Goldthwait tomorrow and Saturday. Shows are at 8 and 10:30 tomorrow night and 7 and 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $20 from 419-931-3474.

The Toledo Club's XXII Annual Party in the Parking Lot will be held from 7 until midnight tomorrow at 235 14th St. downtown. The event is open to the public, and will be held rain or shine. Entertainment includes performances by national recording artists The Jets, and George Damron and Buffalo Ridge. Advance tickets are $27.50 from 419-243-2200 or $30 at the gate. Proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Northwest Ohio.

The 26th Annual Doll & Teddy Bear Show and Sale takes place this weekend at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio. Doll lovers and collectors can browse Founder's Hall as exhibitors share their antique dolls, original dolls, and teddy bears, modern collectibles, and supplies, accessories, artist reproductions, clothing, doll furniture, books, and patterns. Special guest Linda Smith of Vogue Doll Company, home of Ginny Dolls, will sign and talk with collectors. Other events include workshops, lectures and other doll-themed activities. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the doll show only is $7; regular admission to the village is $12.50 for adults, $6.50 for students ages 6-16, and free for children 5 and younger.
