Woman dies of injuries from turnpike crash

An Illinois woman died early Sunday morning of injuries from a Saturday traffic accident on the Ohio Turnpike in Maumee.
Linda S. Kozisek, 60, of Naperville, Ill, was pronounced dead about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol?s Swanton post said.
Ms. Kozisek?s was flown to the hospital after her sport utility vehicle crashed about 6:35 p.m. Saturday on the turnpike near the Anthony Wayne Trail overpass, troopers said.
Ms. Kozisek was eastbound when her vehicle went off the left side of the road, she overcorrected, and when the vehicle returned to the pavement it rolled over multiple times, troopers said.
The SUV ended up in a ditch on the south side of the turnpike and Ms. Kozisek was trapped inside for a time and was extricated from the vehicle.

The woman was flown by helicopter to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio. Her condition was not available. Troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol's Swanton post had not confirmed her identity but believed she was 60 and from Naperville, Ill.
Troopers said the woman was eastbound about 6:35 p.m. near the Anthony Wayne Trail overpass when she drove off the left side of the road. She overcorrected as she returned to the pavement, rolled over multiple times, and ended up in the ditch on the south side of the turnpike. She was trapped and had to be cut from the SUV.
Eastbound traffic was halted while crews worked. A lane reopened about 7:20 p.m. and both by 9 p.m.
