Polymers firm granted tax credit for Lima site

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority yesterday awarded Planet Friendly Polymers LLC, a resin compounding company that is moving to Lima, Ohio, a 40 percent job creation tax credit that could be worth $116,630 over six years.

The company, which is moving from Hagerstown, Md., would be required to maintain operations at the Lima project site for nine years. PF Polymers manufactures plastic resin used in storage totes sold at general merchandisers, like Wal-Mart and Lowe's, and used by the military. The company plans to invest $1.7 million to convert a warehouse into a 150,000- square-foot facility for making storage trunks and footlockers. It is expected to create 60 jobs.
