Seasonal favorite at Croswell 'Rocky' takes the stage in Adrian this weekend

Two Halloween-themed shows and a professional production come to regional stages this week.
In Adrian, the Croswell Opera House presents The Rocky Horror Show. In the rock and roll musical, sweethearts Brad and Janet take shelter in a castle where the mysterious Dr. Frank-N-Furter has just created life in the guise of a rippling hunk named Rocky. Before the night is out, there will be cross-dressing, bed-hopping, and a lot of sexual innuendo in this show for adults only.
The cast includes Adrian residents Kyrie Bristle as Janet, Nicholas Fuqua as Brad, Sean Catron as Frank-N-Furter, and Jim Craig as Dr. Scott. Rocky will be played by Zane Dickerson of Jasper, Mich. Adrian native Eric Parker, now of Chicago, both directs and plays Riff-Raff, Frank-N-Furter's hunchbacked manservant.
The chorus comprises Milan Bowersox, Jamie Buechele, Sten Delvaux, Brandon Derfiny, Lavina Flores, Sierra Gale, Ryan Gigliotti, Katie Guernsey, Barry Hartmann, Jesse Montie, Jayme Palaszeski, Elizabeth Palmer, Natasha Ricketts, Stephen Smith, and Keven Underhill.
"The Rocky Horror Show" is scheduled at 8 p.m. tomorrow, 8 p.m. and midnight Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday in the Croswell Opera House, 129 East Maumee St., Adrian. Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $20 for students with I.D. Information: 517-264-7469.1-man show
Bo Eason returns to the area Tuesday for two performances of his one-man show, Runt of the Litter, at Ohio Northern University in Ada.The former NFL player (1984-87, Houston Oilers) performed his play in 2006 in Tiffin. In an interview with The Blade at that time, he said that although the show is about his passion for football and the physical and emotional toll it takes, it's also a family drama.
It tries to explore his rivalry with his older brother Tony, who was a quarterback in the NFL for eight years, mostly for the New England Patriots, and what it took for his parents to get two sons into professional football.
"It's about what my parents go through and what our four older sisters gave up," Eason said back then.
Runt of the Litter opened off-Broadway in 2001. The New York Daily News named it among the top 10 plays of that year and the New York Times called it the most powerful play about sports in a decade.
"Runt of the Litter" is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts in Ada. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and non-ONU students, $9 for children, and $8 for ONU students. Information: 419-772-1900.Family fun

Frankenstein's Wacky Wedding will combine monster mashing with wedding cake as the monster's ghoulish clan gets together to celebrate his nuptials.
