SSOE alters its name to reflect reach, services

A Toledo engineering firm launched in the years after World War II has changed its name to reflect its global reach and broader range of services.

SSOE Inc. has become SSOE Group. Tony Damon, the chief executive officer, said
in a statement that the shift 'allows the company a greater opportunity to represent its full range of design, construction, and program management services.'

The firm was founded in 1948 as Samborn, Steketee, Otis & Evans. Listed recently by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private firms in the nation, SSOE continues to be based in Toledo but has branch offices in 17 cities around the world.
