Labrador mix, black/white younger than 6 months male; brought to pound by Toledo Police; no charge.

*“Pit bull” is not a breed, but a designation given a dog by Lucas County Dog Warden Tom Skeldon when it enters the county dog pound. “Pit bull” describes several breeds of dogs, including the American Staffordshire terrier and the Staffordshire bull terrier, both regularly shown at the Westminster Kennel Club in New York City. Warden Skeldon refused to adopt out any “pit bulls” and kills all “pit bulls” and “pit bull” puppies regardless of their behavior, unless redeemed by their owner of record.
