Perrysburg man struck by truck, critically hurt

A Perrysburg man was hurt seriously Sunday after being struck by a pickup on Roachton Road, authorities said.

Herbert L. Gross, 83, of Perrysburg was in critical condition last night at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.

At about 11:20 a.m., Mr. Gross was walking west on Roachton, past Brittany Road, when he was struck by a westbound pickup truck driven by Norman White, 62, of Toledo, police Lt. Dave Weaver said.

The incident is under investigation.
