Star Wars: In Concert beams into arena

Star Wars: In Concert will be staged Dec. 1 at the Lucas County Arena, 500 Jefferson St. The event features the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra with principal conductor Dirk Brosse, narration by Anthony Daniels, gigantic high-definition screens, and original movie props and costumes. Tickets are $35, $55, and $75 from Ticketmaster, 800-745-3000 and the arena box office, 419-321-5007.



The Christmas Music of Manheim Steamroller by Chip Davis will be presented at 4 and 7 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Stranahan Theater, 4645 Heatherdowns Blvd. Tickets range from $32-$72 from the box office, 419-381-8851, 800-745-3000 and Ticketmaster.



The Toledo Repertoire Theatre is offering active military families $5 tickets to its family classic, A Christmas Carol, to be presented at 8 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Stranahan. Any seat in the house is $5 ($20 off the adult price). Tickets are available at the box office; use the code “Rep Military.” A military ID or dependent military ID required upon pickup. Holiday with Heart, a nonprofit charity, will host its annual event for members of the gay and lesbian community and their friends from 5:30-11 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Toledo Club, Madison and 14th streets in downtown Toledo. This year’s event benefits the HIV Family Center at the University of Toledo and amfAR: the National Foundation for Aids Research. Tickets are $60. Performances by the Mystery Dinner Theater will be Dec. 3 and 17 at the Spaghetti Warehouse, 42 South Superior St., in downtown Toledo. Shows start at 6:30 p.m.; cost is $30 per person inclusive. Reservations, 419-255-5038.



In conjunction with Connxtions Comedy Club, Comedy for a Cause, Fallen Heroes presents comedian Frank Roche Dec. 3 at the club, 5319 Heatherdowns Blvd. Doors open at 7 p.m.; the show is at 8. Tickets are $10 for those 18 and older and can be purchased from Rob Kay at 419-450-0151, Diane Miscannon, 419-861-1507 or Rob Britt, 419-343-6900. Proceeds benefit the Thin Blue Line and Muscular Dystrophy.
