Mercy St. Vincent gets bonus for performance
Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center has received a bonus of about $100,000 as a top quality-care performer in a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Premiere health-care alliance project.
Based on fourth-year results from the Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration project, St. Vincent received six awards in the areas of heart attack, coronary artery bypass graft, heart failure, and pneumonia. It was in the top 20 percent of hospitals in treating patients with heart attack and heart failure.
