Two Toledo police officers test positive for marijuana
BLADE STAFF
Two Toledo Police officers have been relieved of duty without pay after random drug tests revealed both had used marijuana, Chief Mike Navarre said Wednesday.
The names of the officers were not released.
The Toledo Police Department randomly tested 48 patrol officers for drugs last week, the chief said. The drug testing marks the first time in the department's history that rank and file officers have been subject to the tests.
Command officers have long faced random drug tests.
Chief Navarre said the two officers remain on the force pending administrative hearings.
