Walleye assigned 3 players from AHL

The Toledo Walleye received three players from their American Hockey League affiliates yesterday, including high-scoring forward Maxime Tanguay.

The Rockford IceHogs reassigned Tanguay and defenseman Jonathan Carlsson to Toledo. Defenseman Travis Ehrhardt was sent down from the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Tanguay had the third most points for the Walleye with 14 (5 goals and 9 assists) before being called up to the AHL on Nov. 13. Tanguay chipped in right away for Rockford, notching an assist in a 6-3 win on Nov. 14. The former third-round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks has played in three games for the IceHogs and 12 for Toledo.

Carlsson skated in three games with the Walleye before aggravating an injury on Nov. 7. He has notched two points (1 G, 1 A) for Toledo. Carlsson had been held scoreless in six games in Rockford.

Ehrhardt will make his debut with the Walleye Friday. He had one assist and a plus-3 rating in eight games with Grand Rapids this season.

Toledo hosts Florida at 7 p.m. Friday. The Walleye then take on the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday and Sunday at Lucas County Arena.
