FOSTORIA, Ohio — In a letter to state officials, InterMetro Industries Corp. said it will begin laying off employees at its Fostoria location on Jan. 6 as it begins to wind down the plant.
InterMetro Industries announced plans last year to close the plant. In last week’s filing with the state, the company said it will cease operations in Fostoria by Dec. 31, 2013. In all, 99 union-represented positions will be eliminated. The majority of those are production jobs.
