The University of Toledo has been awarded a $355,000, two-year state grant to host the Minority Business Assistance Center program. The program assists small, minority, and disadvantaged businesses by providing technical assistance, professional consulting, access to capital, and help in obtaining contract opportunities.
The statewide program, hosted by the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2005, will be housed within UT’s Minority Business Development Center on the Scott Park Campus starting July 1.
The program provides support for businesses in 17 counties in northwest Ohio.
“Now is the perfect time to take advantage of the increased synergy of housing the MBAC at the University of Toledo’s Minority Business Development Center and incubator,” said Wendy Gramza, the chamber's president.
