Toledo’s Welltower Inc., formerly Health Care REIT, and Revera Inc., its Canadian partner, said Monday they have completed the acquisition of assisted-living services provider Regal Lifestyle Communities Inc. of Toronto.

The deal expands the footprint of both buyers in Canada.

The Regal portfolio includes 23 seniors housing communities with more than 3,600 units Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland.
