Allimans' 60th Mr. and Mrs. Howard Alliman of Toledo, Ohio will celebrate 60 years of marriage on July 1st, 2008. They were married in 1948 at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation in Toledo, Ohio. Howard retired from Jeep Corp. in 1981. Dora retired from J.C. Penney in 1986. They raised 2 children, son, Thomas Sr. (Diane) and daughter, Carole (James) Byatt. They have been blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A dinner Party was enjoyed at H. J. Prime Cut Banquet Hall on June 28, 2008 in honor of Dora and Howard's 60th anniversary.
Birrs' 50th William and Kathleen Birr celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 28, 2008 in the African Lodge at the Toledo Zoo. Hosted by their loving family, it was a celebration like no other.
Harpels' 50th It all started with a "blind date" in 1956. Now Robert Harpel and Kathleen Harpel (Golaszewski) of Maumee are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June 28th. A family dinner honoring the couple was held June 27th at the Navy Bistro. They have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Cindi (John) Wurzell and Chris (Greg) Lyons along with two grandsons and two granddaughters. An extended cruise to the Panama Canal is planned for later in the year.

Lubells' 60th Lynn and Gertrude (Flaum) Lubell of Toledo were married June 27, 1948, at the former Hillcrest Hotel. They are proud parents of two children, Bob (Stevie) Lubell and Kathy (Bill) Badger. They are blessed with their only granddaughter, Lauren. Lynn enjoys learning about the US Navy and its involvement in WWII. Gert has been an avid knitter for many years and enjoys making gifts for friends.
Rill~Bitkowski Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Rill Sr. are excited to announce the engagement of their daughter Melody Ann to David Anthony Bitkowski, son of Mrs. Jane Scullen of Painesville, Ohio and Mr. David Bitkowski of Sandston, VA. Ms. Rill is a 1998 graduate of Waite High School. Mr. Bitkowski is a 1990 graduate of Thomas W. Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio, and a graduate of University of Toledo College of Pharmacy in 1995. Melody and Dave are both currently employed by Omnicare Northwest Ohio Pharmacy in Perrysburg, Ohio. The couple is planning to marry in February 2009.
Ryans' 65th Willis & Melba (Ogle) Ryan were married on June 26, 1943 by Dr. Alvin E. Bell at Glenwood Lutheran Church. They have 3 children, Pamela (late David) Lawniczak, Deborah (Scott) Cook, and Willis Jr. (Woody) Ryan. They have 7 grandchildren, Ryan Heintz & Jennifer (Rick) Kessler, Matthew & Meghan Lawniczak, and Christopher, Catherine & Casey Ryan. They have one great-grandchild, Cornelius Heintz. Melba retired from Netcraft Co. in 1970 and Willis retired as a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier in 1973, after 33 years of service. They will celebrate their 65 years of marriage at a later date when all of their children can be present.
