MONROE -- The Monroe County Sheriff's department is investigating a fatal car fire that occurred early Saturday.

According to a news release, firefighters from the Frenchtown Fire Department responded to the Gravel Pit Bar at 7990 N. Telegraph Rd. on a vehicle fire call at about 3 a.m. When they arrived they found a 33-year-old man dead inside the vehicle.

The victim has not been identified and the incident remains under investigation by the arson investigation task force.
