Fall Harvest on Local Farms

WEBPerry-farming25p-1

Douglas Pratt, 79, harvests part of his soy crop. Pratt farms soy, corn and wheat. Though the drought and extreme heat of earlier summer hurt some of his properties south of Perrysburg, the acres he farms himself in the area are doing well. The Pratt's live in the farm house in which he was born on land obtained by his great-great grandfather, William Pratt, in a land pact in 1815. On copies of the original documents, president John Quincy Adams' signature can be seen.
