17 area youths work in a community garden on Mentor Street on the final day of their six-week program in Toledo, Ohio on July 6, 2017. "With a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation – Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Program and the Mercy Health Foundation, the Cherry Street Legacy Project initiated a neighborhood conservation project with local youth for the summer. The six-week program employs 15 neighborhood youth and two youth leaders, dubbed as the "green team". Aside from basic gardening and yard care within the Cherry Legacy neighborhood, these youth accomplished a variety of community activities."
