The back nine is more open, while the front nine borders the river. Take State Rt. 24 to Rt. 66 south through Defiance to Rt. 111. The course is located about eight miles beyond the Defiance limits.
BAY VIEW RETIREES

Summit St. City, State, Zip: Toledo, OH, 43611 Phone: 419-726-8081 Description: Dating to the early 1920, Bay View has been run by senior volunteers for the past two decades and offers a 9-hole course that is open only to retirees age 50 and older. Take I-75 north to Ottawa River Rd. exit. turn right on Suder, left on Manhattan, then left on Summit. Course will be on right, opposite Detwiler Park golf course.
BEDFORD HILLS

City, State, Zip: Temperance, MI, 48182 Phone: 734-854-GOLF Description: There are strategic hazards in the form of water and tees, but Bedford Hills is mostly straightforward and fun to play. The Irish Nine has a couple of reachable par 5s, while the two original nines are known for strong finishing holes. Course is well conditioned, especially considering heavy play. Course is located on Jackman Rd., just north of the Ohio-Michigan line.
BOWLING GREEN CC

Bring your short game. Taking Rt. 25 south from I-475, follow into Bowling Green to Poe Rd. Turn right, take to Fairview and turn left.
BRIAR HILL

Greens on back nine have a lot of undulation. Take I-75 south to Exit 167. Go west two miles and course is on south side of State Rt. 18.
