HICKSVILLE, Ohio — Maryland-based Apex Tool Group LLC has informed the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services that it plans to close its manufacturing plant in Hicksville over the next year, resulting in the loss of 79 jobs.

Layoffs are to start Feb. 14 and continue monthly through next November, when the final three employees are to be terminated. Apex was formed in July as a joint venture of Danaher Tool Group and Cooper Tools.
