The University of Toledo will host a dedication ceremony today for its Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute.
The event at 2 p.m. in the Health and Human Services Building will feature remarks from John Carey, Ohio Board of Regents chancellor; State Rep. Teresa Fedor (D., Tole-do); UT’s interim president Nagi Naganathan, and Celia Williamson, a social work professor and the institute’s director.
UT trustees in November voted unanimously to create the institute in response to human trafficking and social-justice issues.
