Speakers and performers called for social engagement and activism in the face of intolerance at today's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Celebration at Savage Arena.
This is the 15th anniversary of the city and university's partnership to host the event.
Today's theme was "Justice for all."

Keynote speaker the Rev. Cori Bush, who has been on the front lines of the social justice movement in Ferguson, Mo., told the 2,000 people in attendance about her work and called for young people in Toledo to get involved in the fight for justice.
Also speaking were Toledo Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson, U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo) and UT President Sharon Gaber.
The two-hour program featured performances by Carmen Miller, Scott High School marching band, singing quartet J4, Toledo International Youth Orchestra, the Justice or Else All-Stars, and the United Vision Baptist Choir.
