Hawk cleared for takeoff

Laura Zitzelberger, operations manager of Nature’s Nursery, prepares to release a red-tailed hawk back into the wild.

The hawk had suffered spinal trauma that caused partial paralysis.

Nature’s Nursery, a wildlife rehabilitation center in Whitehouse, helped restore it to health and released it Wednesday in Sylvania, where it was found earlier this year.
