Repair of the Monroe Street bridge over the Ottawa River, near ProMedica Toledo Hospital, will close two side streets and require lane closings on Monroe starting today, the city announced.

Monroe will be restricted between Parkview Avenue and Inwood Drive through Sept. 1, officials said. North Cove and South Cove boulevards will be closed on the south side of Monroe, and other side streets in the area will be restricted to right turns only at their intersections with Monroe.

Also starting today, Perry Street will be closed between Gratiot and St. Clair streets and St. Clair will be closed between Monroe and Washington streets for construction work scheduled to end Friday.

In North Toledo, pavement restoration will close East Laskey Road today only between Telegraph and Crabb roads. Detour is via Crabb and Telegraph.
