At least one person has been taken to the hospital after an apartment fire in South Toledo, authorities said.
The person appeared to suffer burns, firefighters on the scene said.
Pvt. Sterling Rahe, Toledo fire department spokesman, said the injuries were life threatening. The person was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center.
The blaze was reported about 5:55 p.m. in a third-floor apartment of the Commons at Garden Lake, 1065 Garden Lake Parkway.
The sprinkler system kept the fire in check, Private Rahe said.
