Toledo fire crews Friday fought a house fire in southwest Toledo.

Multiple crews responded around 1 p.m. to the fire in the 2300 block of North Holland-Sylvania Road.

Firefighters were initially able to enter the home but had to retreat outside as the fire got worse, fire officials said.

The home was destroyed, and authorities believe it was vacant at the time of the fire.
