ROCKY RIDGE, Ohio — Responding to a report of a disabled vehicle Monday morning authorities found a woman's body, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
No indication of foul play was found as the investigation continues, law enforcement said. The person's name was not released, pending notification of family.
Deputies responded about 7:10 a.m. to the area of 3000 N. State Rt. 590 in Benton Township about three miles north of the village of Rocky Ridge. They found the vehicle partially in the roadway and the deceased female near the vehicle.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the county coroner's Office, the Ohio Attorney General's Office-Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Mid-County EMS, Portage Fire Department Greer's Towing, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
