A person died in a West Toledo house fire on Sunday night, the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department said.

After firefighters responded to a report of smoke at 10:11 p.m. coming from behind the property in the 300 block of Sunset Blvd., they found a man on the floor, and he was later pronounced dead.

The causes of the death and the fire are still under investigation, the fire department said.
