Westbound lanes were reduced from three to one Wednesday on the Ohio Turnpike in Lake Township as firefighters worked to put out flames on a tractor-trailer. 

The fire between East Broadway and Tracy Road was reported about 2 p.m. Wind-whipped smoke could be seen from miles away.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said no other vehicles were involved and no one was injured. Eastbound traffic was not affected.
