YPSILANTI, Mich. — Bowling Green’s women’s basketball continued its 2019 losing streak, falling to Eastern Michigan 81-74 on Wednesday night.

The Falcons started off the game strong, building a 10-0 lead that was led by Cecil’s five points, and capped by a 3-pointer from McMillen.
The Eagles responded with a massive 14-2 run of their own, allowing just one layup from Angela Perry as the lone BG bucket during the six-minute stretch.
Eastern Michigan’s Jenna Annecchiarico was instrumental in the run, scoring 10 of their 14 points, including two 3-pointers.
Annecchiarico led the Eagles with 26 points.
The Falcons trailed 14-12 entering the second quarter, and retook the lead at 22-19 following a layup from Perry and back-to-back 3-pointers from McMillen and Lambert.

The teams traded baskets over the closing minutes of the half, and BG trailed 33-32 with 59 seconds remaining following a McMillen 3-pointer.
Two free throws by Annecchiarico gave Eastern Michigan a three-point lead, and an Autumn Hudson tip-in at the buzzer gave them a 37-32 lead going into the locker room.
In the third quarter, the Eagles built a 15-point lead as they held the Falcons to 6-of-15 shooting from the field while shooting 68.8 percent (11-of-16) from the field themselves.
Eastern Michigan went up 63-48 on a jumper by Courtnie Lewis.
The Falcons were unable to make up much ground and went into the final 10 minutes trailing 66-53.

The Falcons cut the Eagles’ lead to three points at 68-65 with 6:43 remaining, and again with just 49 seconds to go as Cecil sunk two free throws.
However, after giving up a layup to Kiara Johnson that extended Eastern Michigan’s lead back to five, the Falcons were forced to foul, cutting the comeback short.
