BOWLING GREEN — A former Boston College player is following coach Scot Loeffler to Bowling Green.
Davon Jones, who played running back and linebacker last season for the Eagles, announced Monday he would be transferring to Bowling Green. Loeffler was the offensive coordinator at Boston College before accepting the top job at BGSU.
Jones made 15 tackles and rushed 12 times for 27 yards and two touchdowns.
He already has graduated from Boston College, so he will be immediately eligible at Bowling Green and have one season of eligibility of remaining. He will play running back with the Falcons.
At Boston College, Jones was listed at 5-foot-10 and 235 pounds.
BGSU recently lost running back Ra’veion Hargrove to transfer, but returns starter Andrew Clair as well as Rico Frye and Bryson Denley in the backfield.

FALCONS FILL STAFF: Loeffler has filled the vacancy on his coaching staff with Steve Morrison, a former teammate of Loeffler’s at Michigan.
Morrison will take over as the Falcons’ linebackers coach and associate head coach. His most recent stop was at Syracuse in 2012, and he had seven combined seasons coaching at Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan before that.
He replaces Jim Herrmann, who departed BG shortly after he arrived for a job in professional football.
