Bowling Green falls to Nevada in Paradise Jam title game

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team had its four-game winning streak come to an end Monday in the championship game of the Paradise Jam, as Nevada defeated the Falcons 77-62.

Nevada (5-3) outscored Bowling Green 42-24 in the first half, scoring 16 of the game’s first 22 points. The Wolfpack led 18-6 at the 12:32 mark of the first half, leading by as many as 20 before halftime.

Daeqwon Plowden led Bowling Green (5-2) with 13 points. Chandler Turner scored 12 points, and Caleb Fields added 10 points.

Jazz Johnson scored 25 points for Nevada, making 7 of 10 3-pointers. Jalen Harris added 20 points.
