In a see-saw game at the Slater Family Ice Arena, Bowling Green beat Alaska Anchorage 5-4 in overtime.
Falcons defenseman Alec Rauhauser’s ninth goal of the season was the game winner at the 2:14 mark in overtime.
Five different players scored goals for the Falcons. Taylor Schneider found the back of the net in the first period on assists by Tim Theocharidis and Frederic Letourneau. Jacob Dalton scored BGSU’s second goal near the end of the first period on assists by Casey Linkenheld and Connor Ford to tie the game at 2-2.
Brandon Kruse and Alex Barber assisted Cameron Wright’s power play goal in the second period for the Falcons, and Will Cullen scored later in the second period on an assist from T.J. Lloyd.
Bowling Green fired 45 shots on the Seawolves’ goal. Eric Dop was in the net for BGSU and made 26 saves.
This was the the first of two games against the Seawolves. Bowling Green (14-13-2, 9-10-2 Western Collegiate Hockey Association) will play host again Saturday at 7 p.m.
