BOWLING GREEN — Head coach Scot Loeffler teased it on Twitter, and right at 6 p.m. Tuesday as he promised, Bowling Green State University’s football team landed its latest recruit.
Nate Pabst, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound defensive end from Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller, announced his commitment on Twitter.

“I am officially closing my recruiting and committing to continue my academic and football career at Bowling Green State University,” Pabst wrote in part. “I’m going to the moon! Go Falcons!”
Pabst chose Bowling Green over fellow Mid-American Conference schools Akron, Kent State, Ball State, and Miami, and he held offers from Vanderbilt and Pittsburgh.
Loeffler teased the recruitment Tuesday afternoon on Twitter, hours after the Falcons earned the recruitment of athlete Dequan Stanley. The 5-foot-10, 156-pounder held offers from MAC rival Akron and Maryland of the Big Ten.

The St. Augustine, Fla., native is a three-sport athlete (track, basketball) who totaled 638 receiving yards and five touchdowns as a receiver in 2019. He added 11 pass breakups and a pair of interceptions, and he returned four kickoffs for touchdowns.
“Thank you coaches from Bowling Green for y’all recruiting me as hard as possible,” Stanley wrote in part. “everyday y’all been on my tail since the beginning. This is big for me, I feel blessed to be here. Thank y’all so much.”
