Toledo picked up a commitment Thursday from three-star wide receiver Nick Malito out of Girard High School in Girard, Ohio.
Malito, 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 27 prospect in the state of Ohio. He was second-team All-Ohio as a junior in 2018 and helped Girard to the Division IV state title game.
He committed to Toledo just a few days after the Rockets secured a commitment from three-star quarterback Gavin Hall from Kennesaw, Ga.
Malito is now the top-ranked of the 11 Toledo recruits in the 2020 class, with Hall a close second. Malito is the eighth player from Ohio and the seventh three-star recruit in the class.
The Rockets’ class is ranked No. 4 in the Mid-American Conference behind Western Michigan, Bowling Green, and Miami.
