The University of Toledo men’s basketball team got a letter of intent from Macomb, Mich., native Ryan Rollins during Wednesday’s early signing period.
Rollins, a senior point guard at Dakota High School, will join the Rockets in the 2020-21 season.
As a junior, Rollins averaged 21.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.2 steals per game on his way to first-team All-Macomb County honors.
As a sophomore, Rollins averaged 23.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk believes Rollins can contribute right away when he joins the Rockets next year.
"We are tremendously excited to have Ryan become a part of our program," Kowalczyk said. "He's a very talented point guard with great length and size. He has an unbelievable feel for the game and plays with a great pace. We look forward to him being an impact player for us next year."
