Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Glenn Beck will help listeners put a face with his name tomorrow when he appears live for two shows in Toledo.
The scheduled visit, part of his eight-city tour, "Glenn Beck on Ice," was so popular locally that the original show that was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. sold out in a matter of hours.
A second show then was added for 11 p.m., making Toledo the only stop on the tour with more than one.
The appearances will take place at the Stranahan Theater, 4645 Heatherdowns Blvd.
Rich Bonn, director of special events for Beck, said the audience can expect a lot of fun.
"It's very much in keeping with the nature of the radio show. It's very comedic. It's also thought-provoking," he said.
There will be talk of family values as well as tongue-in-cheek bits on things that Beck hates, such as gas-guzzling vehicles, he said.
Beck, 41, is based in Philadelphia and has his show broadcast on 160 stations nationwide, including locally on WSPD-AM (1370).
Tickets for the second show tomorrow are $23. Information: 419-381-8851 or www.glennbeck.com.
