A new range-topping model targeted to off-roaders is being added to the Jeep Wrangler lineup this month.
For the Wrangler Rubicon Recon, which was announced this week, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has beefed up the front axle, added cast front and rear differential covers instead of the stamped ones on regular Wranglers, and given the vehicle a half-inch lift and new rock rails. Jeep says the upgrades allow for 35-inch tires.
Like all Wranglers, the Rubicon Recon is built at the Toledo Assembly Complex.

Pricing starts at $39,145 for the two-door and $42,945 for the four-door, making it the most expensive Wrangler offered.
