Rogers is suddenly seeking a football coach with the start of the high school football season officially less than a week away.
Marcus Waugh, who coached the Rams last season, recently resigned from the post after expressing “different visions and expectations for the program” between himself and Rogers administrators. Rogers finished 1-9 overall a year ago, including a 1-4 showing in the City League.
Waugh was the third head coach for the Rams in the past three seasons. Rams athletic director Harold Howell is assuming the coaching duties for the program until someone is hired to fill the void.
