What makes your place unique: The history of Frankie's speaks for itself, bringing some of the best national, regional, and local live music to Toledo since 1985. We pride ourselves on booking up-and-coming talent at Frankie's before it hits the mainstream. For example, the White Stripes, the Black Keys, Smashing Pumpkins, Goo Goo Dolls, and many others have played the stage at Frankie's.
Origin of club name: Prior to being a live music venue, Frankie's operated as a well-known Toledo hot spot for Italian food since the 1940's. Named after the original owner: Frankie Andriaccio. Even undergoing all of the changes throughout the years, Frankie's is still family-owned today.
Clientele: Frankie's caters to a wide variety of people. Any given week we can have up to seven shows, ranging from hard rock, indie rock, folk and bluegrass, metal, alternative, and hip hop -- all with very different groups coming in and out of our doors.
What types of entertainment do you feature: Live music of all genres.
Upcoming events: Friday and Saturday we are hosting a two-day party featuring local acts MC Habitat & Draw Blood, 33 1/3, Frankie & Jesse, Little Black Mess, among others. In addition, we will have Canadian chart toppers The Trews on Jan. 13, local metal heavyweights Buried But Breathing on Jan. 14, '90s alternative rock legends the Lemonheads on Jan. 17, Columbus' Red Wanting Blue's CD release show Jan. 20, and local rock band Mindfish's CD release show Jan. 28.
