Year formed: 2008
Style of music: art rock/baroque pop
Sounds a little like: Vampire Weekend, Squeeze, Talking Heads, Dr. Dog. Since our founding in 2008, our sound has been compared to many other artists including Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, The Beach Boys, Sublime, and Pink Floyd. Starting as a psychedelic rock band, we have developed a cleaner jazz-based sound akin to the art rock and symphonic pop scene during the 1960s and '70s.
Influences: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sun Ra, David Byrne, Miles Davis, love, and nature.
Favorite local venue: The Flying Joe coffee house in Perrysburg for jazz/acoustic sets and the Maumee Indoor Theater for electric sets.
Upcoming gigs: Dec. 21 at Howard's Club H in Bowling Green as well as more shows in the Toledo area in December and January. We will be featuring a backing band with woodwinds, percussion, vocals, and more during our winter shows.
Any recordings: "Lawn Structures" (2010), "(t)here" (2012), and our soon-to-be-released first part of a double-concept album "The Living Sun (Part I)" (release date in February). Our recordings are available for streaming, download, and sale on our band camp Web site as well as iTunes and other major digital distribution sites.
